First Tropical Americas sign appears: here's where the new Animal Kingdom land stands

Things are getting tangibly real at Disney's Animal Kingdom: the first marquee sign for Tropical Americas has appeared on an entrance column near Expedition Everest, at the land's side entrance. It's designed to look like an old, cracked stone tablet – a perfect fit for the area's theming.
This is the very first piece of signage for the new land, and progress is visible elsewhere too: mesh mountains and rockwork have been rising steadily since last month, a clear sign that theming is ramping up. The land is scheduled to open in 2027.
Tropical Americas is taking shape on the site of the former DinoLand U.S.A. The old area is becoming Pueblo Esperanza – the fictional village that will anchor the new land's story.
Three attractions are already confirmed: "Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent," "El Carrusel de los Animalitos" (The Carousel of Animals), and "Antonio's Fiesta de Encanto." Disney announced those names at D23, and the Encanto ride will feature returning voice talent from the film.
