New Details Revealed for The Lion King Attraction at Disneyland Paris
New details from Simba’s future kingdom! Construction continues at Disneyland Paris as new footage reveals the ride vehicles, Rafiki’s baobab tree and more details of the upcoming Lion King attraction.
Construction continues on the new The Lion King-themed land at Disney Adventure World, and new details are now providing a closer look at the upcoming flume ride and the overall area.

One of the highlights is the design of the ride vehicles. They feature a highly detailed wooden appearance, helping them resemble natural logs as part of the African-inspired environment. The front of each vehicle also features Simba depicted as one of Rafiki’s drawings, connecting the ride directly to the story of the movie.
The Imagineers are also working on the smaller details that will help bring the attraction to life. During the presentation, several insects and bugs were shown that are being created for the attraction. These elements may seem small, but they are an important part of creating a believable and immersive environment.

A new digital model also gives guests a broader look at the future land. It shows the flume ride, Rafiki’s large baobab tree, as well as several buildings and themed areas surrounding the attraction.
The Lion King land is being built around the central lake of Disney Adventure World and will be located directly next to World of Frozen. Once completed, it will become another major addition to the ongoing expansion of Disneyland Paris.
